Malevich's abstract art experiment has exerted an important influence in Russia and Europe. Barr, a famous American art historian, wrote the following paragraph in his masterpiece Cubism and Abstract Art: "Malevich occupies a very important position in the history of abstract art. As a pioneer, theorist and artist, he not only influenced a large number of Russian followers, but also influenced the process of abstract art in Central Europe through Lichtsky and Moholinaki. He was at the centre of a movement that spread westward from Russia after the war, mingled with the influence of the Dutch style, and changed the face of architecture, furniture, printing formats and commercial art in Germany and many parts of Europe. Although supremacist art is only a stage in Malevich's whole creative career, it is undoubtedly his most valuable creation. Unlike previous works with traces of other people's influence, Marevich's supremacist works show distinct personality, and no one can say what to imitate a certain school or a certain family. It is this bright new wind that will enable many people to get useful inspiration and open up more new worlds of fine arts.
Russian painter Kasimier Severinovich Malevich (1878-1935), the founder of supremacy art. Born in a poor family in Kiev, Ukraine, on February 11, 1878, Hand and Foot Disease Doctor in the Bathroom, displayed at the Donkey Tail Exhibition in 1912, has the characteristics of cubism and futurism. Has participated in drafting the Russian Futurist Artist Manifesto. After the October Revolution, he joined the Left-wing Artists'Union. He died in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg) on May 15, 1935.
He began his education in rigorous western art aesthetics and became a pioneer of geometric abstractionism in his early years with Kandinsky and Mondrian. He eventually created this supreme art stage with simple and abstract geometric forms and the concrete geometric forms of black and white or bright colors in his later period. "Imitative art must be destroyed, just as the imperialist army must be destroyed." That's what he said.
Malevich's supremacism influenced Tatlin's structuralism and Rodchenko's non-objectivism, and influenced Bauhaus'design teaching through Lichtsky's transmission to Germany. In the early 1920s, the Soviet literary and artistic circles no longer tolerated and accepted non-realistic art. Malevich had to stop his exploration of abstract art and make a living by teaching. In 1927, his only theoretical book, The Non-objective World, was published in Germany. In 1935, he died in poverty and obscurity.
Marevich pioneered geometric painting, and the works that survived for so many years are still amazing for their simplicity. He is a great pioneer of abstract painting in the twentieth century. With his enigmatic works all his life, he outlined another bright star sky for the artistic circles of the 20th century, which foreshadowed the advent of various art movements from Dadaism to minimalism. He opened up an infinite and vast prospect for art, allowing later generations to roam and wander.
